LA Trip
Tracie and I took a trip to LA for a few days. We stayed at a hotel in Marina del Rey, which is very close to Venice Beach, so the boardwalk was our first stop.
It’s always been a dream of mine to drive Route 66. Santa Monica Pier just happens to be the very, very end of Route 66. Kind of like taking a short cut.
Visited Hollywood and the Chinese Theater. My hands are suprisingly the same size as George Clooney’s.
Drove the Pacific Coast Highway up to Malibu.
The were filming an episode of CSI: Miami at the hotel we were staying at. Walked out the door and almost accidentally onto the set. Ran into David Caruso and he was kind enough to pose for a memento.
Another kind of turkey day
Today is Turkey Day. 10/10/10. Three strikes in a row.
Princess Haya at the World Equestrian Games
Working at the World Equestrian Games, in Lexington Kentucky, turn the corner and there’s none other than Her Royal Highness Princess Haya of Jordan, the daughter of King Hussein Bin Talal of Jordan (1935-1999). She is the President of the Fédération Équestre Internationale. Her husband is Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE, Ruler of Dubai. Both of them are avid horse enthusiasts and the Sheikh competed in the endurance discipline during the World Equestrian Games. Princess Haya gave a speech at the Opening Ceremonies.
