A pill for a spotless mind

Giving credence to the idea that there really is a pill for everything, it appears that scientists in the UK have developed a pill that promises to selectively erase painful memories (think Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind), possibly redefining the human condition as we know it. As one medical ethics lecturer in London put it: “Removing bad memories is not like removing a wart or a mole. It will change our personal identity since who we are is linked to our memories.”
